Bekah riding a 2 wheeler
A couple of weeks ago Bekah wanted to try to ride her bike without training wheels. We took them off and the next day she had it down. She figured out how to stop and start and is riding like a pro.
Rebekah at school
Here are some pictures of Rebekah and some fun days at school. First they went to the zoo and her favorite part was getting to ride on the bus. Then they had a field day and she went around with her friend Alicia. They were literally running from one center to the next. She is a very fast little runner and did well on all the physical activities.

sprinkler mayhem
Last week was pretty hot. Thursday after school the kids asked if they could run through the sprinkler(always more trouble than it's worth). Mike had school right after work and I didn't have to make dinner, so I caved in. They had a lot of fun-Hannah monopolizing the sprinkler, Michael terrorizing the younger girls, Bekah barely getting wet and Sarah getting bored after a few minutes and riding her bike instead. Rachel loves water, but not when it's sporatically spraying her in the face.
Easter 2009
This year we colored eggs OUTSIDE (I've finally wised up) Then we hit the road down to Oklahoma City for an overnight temple trip. (We usually just go down on a Saturday, Mike and I take turns attending the temple and watching the kids, but every once in a while we split it up by staying in a hotel. The kids like both ways, but especially on these special occasions) We went to a park that morning and had an Easter egg hunt (Rachel's first) and let them play around on the playground before heading back up with a carload of kids hyped up on sugar!
Michael's 7th Birthday
Michael wanted an Easter Egg birthday cake. Again, Brenda made the cake and Mike decorated it. Michael had to sit in the big black birthday chair and the other kids were made to stay put on the couch-then Michael got to open his presents. He got a few little gifts and then the big surprise: A new bike! He was soooo excited. It's definately a bike he can grow into. We brought cupcakes for his class and he got to take the first bite. Sarah couldn't resist giving him a big hug when we got there. Thanks to everyone for helping him celebrate - your phone calls and cards are greatly appreciated.

Bekah's 5th Birthday
This year was a big party for Bekah with friends from primary and of course, the Anderson family. She had a fishy theme with a rainbow fish: baked by mommy but decorated by daddy. For snack, we caught goldfish crackers with pretzel stick poles and either peanut butter or cream cheese bait. (The kids had so much fun with this activity that they didn't eat as much of their pizza dinner as they should have.) Next we hit the shark pinata. All the little kids combined couldn't make a dent in it, and then daddy was teasing Hannah by pulling it out of her reach whenever she went to hit it. Finally it did burst and screams errupted as the kids ran to get candy. Last but not least was the fishing pond where the kids fished out their treasure box shaped party favors. Fun was had by all, and we want to thank everyone who made her day so special-including the phone calls and cards in the mail.
